This is my 3rd LSC.  Some of you might have seen my previous Mark on ford vs chevys forum, a black '84 that had a 460 in it.  I'm sure if you were on Telegraph Rd in Michigan in the mid 90s I might have spanked a few of you with it also.  I spent 7 years waiting for this Mark VII it was owned by an older couple in Cadiz Ohio.  I met them while on a cable TV call when I worked for AT&T there.  I spent almost 6 hours rewiring practically their entire home, and on a trip through the garage I noticed this beauty sitting there virtually untouched.  That was 2000, in 2007 they sold me the car for $2500.  You can notice in these picture that there is a mangled spot on the passenger rear stainless fenderwell trim strip.  If anyone is parting one of these out and has one of these in mint or very good condition please let me know.  I have yet to find one matching the condition of the rest of the car.

The picture below on the right is from 7/24/09.  If you know these cars, and compare it with the picture on the left you will see the car is lower.  I far as I'm concerned this is the lowest you can get the car using the stock suspension.  I think it's about perfect, I got another half an inch by cutting the bottom of the brackets out and having my great friends Steve and Jim Davidson at Elite Auto and custom car shop in Mancelona MI make a custom bracket to hold the factory adjustment bolts as low as they possibly can go without another major modification.  If you would like more information about how you can do this e me and I can call ya and let you know more in detail about how to do it.  There is a very good reason why you can't go any lower without another modification.  Also some great news for me is when we dropped the car off the hoist and I went to take it for a ride to settle the suspension in, the transmission went bye bye on me.  Oh well I guess it's the life of a gearhead right?

The wheels are 18x9 front and 18x10 rear with 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 Nexen N3000 tires.  The wheels come from wheelreplicas.com, and the finish on these wheels is really quite excellent.  You can't buy these Bullet rims from them anymore because they stopped making them, I got their last set of white ones.  They fit perfect, no rubbing, only bad thing is the center caps don't fit on the front.  Great news though for those of you with the same problem.  I spoke to the guys at AmericanMuscle.com and they told me they are coming out with a domed 2.5 inch center cap to solve this problem within the next 2-4 months.  UPDATE!!!:So they came out with those center caps, I bought 'em and they work.  They clear the dustcaps for those of you with the same problem.  Haven't been home to get pics and it might be a while but I will post some when I get the chance.  I'll be home July 22nd and up north to get my car so I'll get some pics of the center caps and post them on here.  So I got up to my car to find out that the front caps don't fit, sorry I thought they would.  They go in just not all the way.  Going to have to put some silicone or something on them to make sure they don't pop out but they will work.  After I have thought about it and looked at it I think a 1/8" spacer will do the trick.

The first thing I am going to do this spring is Ford Racing ceramic coated shorties and an all stainless 2.5 inch exhaust system all the way back with mustang style slash cut polished pipes.  Damn can't wait til it starts getting warm again.  3/8/2009:I got my headers can't wait to get back and put em on.  Then it's a trip to Brighton to see my buddy Dan at the exhaust shop to get my pipes run.  Look for me at the Telegraph cruise this summer.  5/10/09: Well it looks like I won't get the headers on and the new exhaust done this year.  I just don't get much time off and the car being 3 hours from my homebase of Howell doesn't help either.  I will still be out at the cruises this year, and as long as I can get back and find a local job early 2010 I should get a lot done to it next year hopefully.
