This was my very first ride. Bought it in 1970, which meant it was only four years old at the time. The previous owner was an elderly lady that owned a home beauty salon, so she hardly ever went places. I paid $500 for it and my older sister co-signed for me. It had 289 automatic. I put air shocks on it and also a glasspack muffler. I also installed a "cut out" valve on the exhaust. I used to beat alot of 350's with this one in street races. I even beat one 396, but I think that was mostly the driver's fear I beat. I kept stripping the nylon tips off the timing gears until I put steel ones in t instead. Those are chrome reverse rims above, with the baby moon caps. Before I put those on it had Pontiac hubcaps (below). I had a bass guitar amp I used as a 15 inch speaker in the back seat. I spent alot of nights sleeping in this car, to escape the cockroaches at home. On the rear trunklid I painted "Keep On Smiling". This is the car that got a hit and rn during the night. It was sitting in the same spot as the picture below. Damn, I sure wished I had this one today.
