3RD GENERATION SATELLITE
This was my grandfathers' 1969 Plymouth Satellite. He bought it new. My father inherited it and I, in turn, drove it as a teenager. The car was stored for 13 years until 1993. At that time, the paint was faded from dust and dirt laying on it for so many years. I have pictures of it when we first saw it after all that time. I'll try to scan them and post them here.
It was painted and my father ran it in the summer, taking it to local car shows and in the odd parade. Last winter, we had the motor rebuilt. It's a 318. A few touch-ups on the paint, dual exhaust was added. New rad, fuel pump, alternator...etc. It's in perfect running order now. The interior needs a bit of work, but its better than most cars I've seen for that year.
The car will be shipped from New Brunswick to me, in Calgary, Alberta in the next few weeks. I'll get some new pics when the car arrives.
My grandfather had taste..... I'm certainly glad it was kept in the family.
