This is my page for my GTS. It contains pics and a lil info for just about everything I've done to this car. If you have ?'s on how I did something I'm more than willing to help out. My $700 1997 Probe GTS. I purchased it on 8-5-08 from a guy in Auburn, NE. I wasn't really looking for another car especially a red one w an automatic but it was a gts and it would make one fun project.
The Bad: It had an automatic transmission that was starting to go out. It only had 1st and 2nd gear. It also had a pretty bad scratch on the pss side fender from him parking a trailor next to it and somthing hanging off the trailor scratched it. It also has a pretty badly rusted sunroof cover as well as some scratches on the rear bumper. The interior was one of the dirtiest I've ever seen. I don't think my 93 probe would've been that nasty if I hadn't cleaned it in the 4 years I've had it.Seriously it was that bad.:(
The Good: Only $700 bucks and it has mint condition chrome swirlies minus one center cap, a strong running engine w only 115k miles, and it was an auto so it hasn't bn beat to shizzle, a GTS w power everything and works, a really straight body w just a couple door dings and scratches but it is 11yrs old, nice black interior w all the clips.
So first thing one the cars list is to swap out the atx for a mtx out of a black 93GT .It'll get a new CM Stage lll clutch with a fidanza flywheel and rr-racing motor mount inserts. Then it'll get klze heads,cams,and a ze intake manifold. Of coarse headers and 2.5' back to a greddy muffler. Not sure which muffler I'm using yet. Weight reduction is next starting with the back seats,spare tire,cruise control, and a/c. Then the front seats and airbags. That'll do for awhile until I spray it or just skip the spray to build my extra engine for BOOST!!!
