0-60 Magazine (www.0-60mag.com ) is building a Lexus IS F for this year's SEMA show.  It's a great opportunity to work on one of the greatest out of the box sports cars today.  Given that the Lexus IS F was recently launched and now in the dealerships, we knew the aftermarket would have little to nothing available to help with this build, at least not yet.  We're going to need a lot of help..a lot of custom help. 

Our goal for the IS F is to build a realistic but still competitive daily street, weekend track sports car:

8 WEEKS TILL COMPLETION DEADLINE!!

Step 1.  Lighten up the car, we need some carbon fiber.    

Seibon measured and removed the hood, front fenders, side skirts and the trunk.  Carbon Fiber replacements are on it's way!  The carbon fiber is going to look real sleek with the O.E. black paint.

Step 2.  Get More Power!!!

GReddy came through and said they'd assist us with the power....first look the exhuast. 

 First of all, have you heard the stock exhaust!  It's ridiculous.  But the guys at GReddy are the horsepower experts, so off came the exhaust.  Custom fabrication in the works.   

7 WEEKS TILL DEADLINE !!!

Custom fabrication continues and the exhaust is well on it's way.  We asked Greddy, "give us an aggressive exhaust system that'll make sure people know we're passing them up on the track."  Little did we know they'd give us 4 of them.  A custom system made up of 70mm full dual piping to 60mm quad piping finishing with 4 115mm tips!

Step 3. Safety and Handling  

Design Craft Fabrication built a custom cage.  Something you'd never expect from an IS F but this isn't just gonna be street it needs to be ready for track!  Then Mackin Industries stepped in and advised us about the this new Advan Wheel.  Looks like we got our wheels.

  Step 4.  Hurry and Finish in time.....

GReddy says we need more power....how?  Supercharger ! ! !  hmmmm...Design Craft says it can be done... so we're diving right in.  Tein just finished with our custom coil over system for the IS F.  Next update will have a lot of coming together. 

When we first put the GReddy Supercharger on, clearly it didn't fit.  We had some major to do but Design Craft really pulled out the stops and made it work.  Its not almost ready to bolt right back on.  We can't wait to tear it up. 

Just scheduled.... 0-60 will be exhibiting at the upcoming Formula Drift Finals in Irwindale, CA and will be revealing this project for the very first time, 3 full weeks before SEMA!  Thats crazy!  Come check us out.

 Down to the wire....just trying to get everything in and ready.  Suspenion from Tein is in w/ the EDFC.  Advan wheels being mounted onto Hankook Ventus Tires.  Good ole SR-48 nuts to keep it all together. 

2 WEEKS TILL DEADLINE !!!!!

Seibon finally got us our prototype IS F hood, fenders and trunk.  Design Craft wasted no time putting it on.  As we put everything we have together we just wait for 2 huge intergral parts of this project.
