(had a little accident and had to replace bumper and hood, so completely repainted stripes)
In 2007 while I was deployed to Iraq, I bought this California Special. I picked it up when I returned to the states for my R&R. From day one it was a head turner. Since my return to the states in February I've invested alot of time and money, so let me know what you think.
Performance mods I have made include C&L cold air kit with Steeda intake spacer with a custom tune on an SCT Livewire tuner. The exhaust has been exchanged to Bassani highflow catted X-pipes and mufflers. I also added a Steeda strut tower brace and hood struts. Unfortunately no huge power adders or major internal part swaps YET....
On the outside, I have changed out the original grille, added hood pins, painted to match headlamp splitters, side mirror covers, and side louvers. I had custom flat black racing stripes painted all the way over, and tinted windows. I also added chrome handle covers, shorty antenna, and brushed aluminum GT fuel door. My most recent purchase was the glossy black 20" American Racing Shelby Torque Thrust M wheels with Kumho tires.
Interior upgrades include several dress up items and a complete aftermarket Alpine system. It all begins with the iDA-X001 multi-media head unit, blasting through a full Series R speaker system. There are 6.5" component sets up front, 6.5" coax in the rear, and 12" subs in the back. All powered by two 800w monoblocks and a 400w four channel.
I have many plans for the ride, mostly just working on saving the cash right now. I'm still dreaming of the ATI P-1SC Procharger. I look forward to making some friends and getting some input and ideas from some of you who have been around and doing this for a while.
