i have a 93 maxima se 5-speed. it was my first car and i cant get rid of it, i would like to have more mods but most of the money ive put into it has been into fixing it. now its finally running again so its performance time, and body work time. my project 4 this winter is to have it back on the streets

damn dude thats messed up what those asses did to your ride by painting it. about the VQ swap like i said i really don't know how difficult it was to swap into a 3rd gen. from what i have read on maxima.org the swap is hard work. i also read you have to use a 4th gen 5speed tranny. im not sure about crossmember and mounts and axles as well. wiring is a nightmare as well. lets just say this isn't your typical honda engine swap where all the mounts bolt right onto the car and other misc. parts as well. i would do it but just don't have the time and money right now. you should swing by maxima.org if your not a member already and just read up on all the posts about this swap.

whats up man? thanks for swinging by my page and checking out my maxima. you asked how hard the swap was but don't know what swap you are talking about? if its about my motor swap in my 93 which was just a low mileage VG motor swap than it wasn't hard since my '93 came with the VG i just swapped in a lower mile VG into it. if you are referring to the VE to VQ swap in the pearl white maxima than i don't know since i have never done one before. i just have that pic to show everyone else that the swap can be done. or if you are talking about my moms black 4th gen maxima i basically did the same by swapping out her old blown VQ with a lower mileage VQ motor. other than that you have an extremely good car especially for it being a VE since they are rare especially a 5-speed. let me know if you need anymore info or just hop into www.maxima.org and become a member for free and all your questions will be answered.
