11/16/08 update... I put in a newly rebuilt edelbrock carb, New battery,New cables, new voltage regulator, new Distributor, and other misc stuff i cannot remember. It still isn't running though. Next thing will be replacing the rusted Fuse box, and hoping this does some good. Here's some new(er) pics:

This is my project car.  It's a 1971 Ford Maverick with a automatic (floor shift), and a factory 302 V8.

I bought it in July 2008 for $840, But i only recently found out how Rare or unique it might actually be.

The car is currently Blue, But its firewall and other "hidden" parts show that the original color was purple, which was not a Ford Color(it was special ordered). According to the info obtained by the VIN, this was a Special order placed at a seattle dealership. And it might be the ONLY factory purple maverick to be made.  (If you know of another, Please let me know.. i'd love to get ahold of someone who might be able to tell me more!).

also, It once had a Black Vinyl roof, But it has deteriorated away.

It's also made a little more unique by the fact it had the 8A trim package (black bucket seats. It currently has a Bench seat because someone took the other seats before i bought it), Floor shift automatic, and rubber floor mats (instead of carpet).

Right now i am in the process of getting it running, Then my plan is to fix the roof (protect it from rust). Ultimately, I want  to repaint it its factory color, and restore its interior to its original look.
