knight721's 1999 Pontiac Firebird

Wellcome to my Formula Page!

knight721's 1999 Pontiac Firebird I bought this 99 Formula 6 Speed when I was selected to Chief.  It was meant to be a weekend car since I still had my 89 firebird.  As it turns out, the Formula comsumes less gas than my V6?  So I started to drive it more often.

knight721's 1999 Pontiac Firebirdknight721's 1999 Pontiac Firebird  I finally decide to sell the red car and started to make some modifications to my formula.  You can see the red firebird in this website.  It was a great car but I guess I was seduced by the power of the formula.  Nothing less than 300 HP will do for me know, and since it is a 6 speed, the gas milage is pretty good, as long as I drive conservatively.

knight721's 1999 Pontiac Firebird  The first thing I did was to replace the muffler.  The car came with hooker aereochamber muffler, but it did not have that muscle car tone. in fact it was very quiet.  I replaced it with a flowmaster.  Not only did it feel a little more gutsy but it sounded better.  Then When I sold the red car I took out the muffler eliminator I got on Ebay a while a go. (the guy who bought the red car wanted it to have a regular muffler).  I finally got that deep tone I was looking for.  It is stronger than the flowmaster but not too loud.

Next came the skip shift eliminator, that was driving me insane, (sounds like I am taking more stuff out than puting them in) for $9.99 it was worth it.  Specially when I take it to the track.

I put seat covers to protect the seats since they are in good shape and they make the interior look better.

The floor mats were a gift from my wife.

Nice Firebird Chief! Glad to have met you at the car show today, and thanks for the comments you left on my Challenger page. As to what you had said earlier, I would get the Chally when you get back so you can also keep your Firebird, it's a sweet ride too!
