1971 Dodge Demon Project - FOR SALE
I bought this 1971 Demon on eBay in 1999. She came from Arizona with very little rust, but the interior was toasted! Has a 318 V8 and factory A/C. She used to have a landau roof, and was originally painted gunmetal metallic. Pasenger door & front fender were replaced with Duster parts by a previous owner.
My original plan for the Demon shown here was to paint her B2 Light Metallic Blue (to match my first car). I had her sandblasted & primered, had the engine tuned up, and pulled & painted along with the transmission. Replaced front passenger & rear driver's side floor pans. Also installed new brakes, alternator & exhaust.
Engine & transmission pulled, engine bay cleaned & painted B2 Light Blue Poly
New Exhaust System
New Master Cylinder
New Alternator
New Battery
New Ignition Wires
New Belts & Hoses
New Air & Fuel Filters
Carb rebuilt
New (rebuilt) Power steering pump
New floor pans: Right Front & Left Rear
Engine, transmission, brakes all in good condition
Entire car was media blasted & primed 2006
Engine serial number matches VIN LL29G1E106540
Broadcast sheet intact (not perfect)
The car still needs minor body work, a paint job & an interior. She now has some light surface rust. She runs nicely though. Also needs a new pulley for the power steering pump (pump itself is newly rebuilt).
In August 2008, I stumbled upon another '71 Demon which is a beautiful survivor and bought it...now I need to make room in the driveway and let someone else take over the restoration on this one.
