So here is my second beretta. So far I have about 10 grand including cost of car, mods, and basic repair, and probably over 1000 hours of work and is close to 13s when I can get the tune right, traction and a decent shifter. I did the 3400 engine swap, 5 speed swap with 3.94 final drive ratio and Engineered Performance LSD, SPEC 2+ clutch, Fidanza flywheel, S&S ceramic coated headers and high flow cat, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, straight thru muffler, FFP underdrive pulley, poly upper insert and FFP lower engine and FFP lower trans mounts, poly filled upper trans mount, custom cai with K&N, custom grill, custom spoiler, carbon interior trim, Sparco pedals, Sparco shift knob, GT Grant steering wheel, kyb gr-2 struts, kyb gas-a-just shocks, 17x7 alloy rims, 215-45 Nitto NeoGen's, full size spare, extra wheels with nitto extreme drag 555r 245-45-17, eibach pro kit springs, 30mm front/26mm Addco rear sway bars with poly, early style subframes with poly control arm bushings, strut tower bar, custom rear shock tower bar, bmw headlights, clear turn signals and side markers, a top secret krylon paint job inspired by sport compact car magazine only because I couldnt stand the teal and I plan to get a real paint job eventually.

I finished swapping the wiring harness for OBD II and installing DHP Powertuner. 2000 Camaro front brakes with dual piston calipers, ~13" discs, which also required the install of 2000 Grand Am ball joints (Moog), 2000 Grand Am aluminum steering knuckle and wheel bearing and axles are Grand Am outer and Beretta inner. Jegs aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Although I found that the aluminum radiator is unneccessary because the stock one works good at cooling but the plastic will crack after a long time. The fans are good and give a little more room since they are slim fit and pull a lot of air.

The engine and tranny swaps wasnt too difficult thanks to the help of everyone on 3400swap.com, bstuff.com, 60degreev6.com and beretta.net. Each swap was done seperately and about a year apart. For the engine I picked up a 3400 out of an '04 Impala with only 44 miles. The tranny is an export New Venture Gear (late model Getrag 282) with the lower gear ratio for smaller engines. It makes the full power potential unattainable in first gear but gets up quick and makes 2nd thru 5th very responsive. I have plenty of passing power in 5th, no downshifting to pass lane cloggers.
