12/9/09  - Finally got my Michelin X-Ice Xi-2 snow tires balanced and mounted on 12/5 just in time for some snow. Feels like I'm driving on regular pavement. I wonder how they will hold up with 6 - 8" of snow though....Been told that I need a torx  screw driver, between 20 and 30 in size to finish the radio custom.

12/3/09  - Here are the Enkei rims that I plan to get next summer. 17 or 18? Is lowering a must?

12/3/09  - So the metallic orange grew on me. Ok, I decided to wipe them clean and added the decals with 4 coats of clear coat each. Here's the end result, not bad I guess granted it's my first time.

I also fixed the PRNDL shift lights, turned out it was a dead bulb. Changed the intelligent key battery and it's back to normal. Just coincidence or is my car telling me to stop messing with her parts? LOL

I finally got the freakin radio out BUT the last step I couldn't do which was to remove the unit from the plastic trim... I don't have the right screw driver... can anyone identify what type of screw driver I need from this pic?

RADIO REMOVAL PART 2

FOR SALE: 11/23/09 - I picked up some OEM SE-R side skirts and front splash guards which fit on an any B16 Sentra model for the years 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010. The skirts have some scratches on both sides. They currently are painted with OEM K32 Nissan Silver paint. These can be repaired by sanding and repainting. I just don't have the time and it's too cold here for me to do it since I don't have a heated garage..... :(
 
If anyone wants them, I can sell them for $400 for both skirts & splash guard + shipping.

Summary:

I purchased my '07 Sentra car at the end of 2006 and did not know that the SE-R trim would be out in mid 2007. However, I feel I made the right choice to go with the SL as it has keyless entry, leather seats, and BlueTooth system which are not available on the 2.5L SE-R or Spec-V trims. Only options I don't have are the sun-roof and the fog lights. The fuel efficiency is also better on the 2.0L models which was crucial when the gas prices were $4 a gallon....

In the near future, I would like to look into performance parts when my stock parts need to be replaced. This is my first car I purchased and I love it!I have no experience with modifying or detailing my car but I want to do my best to keep it running and looking nice. I am following the Nissan recommended service schedules and taking the car to the dealer (with the exception of the C & D services, those I will take to a local shop after 35K has been reached.) I'm trying to bring the best of both worlds for this mini Maxima, getting the more luxury feel of the SL and the style of an SE-R.

Further down you will see the car before tints but w/ the spoiler installed. Page 2 are pictures pre and post spoiler install. Page 3 showcases the LED lights at night. Page 4 gives you a look at the carpetted and rubber mats while page 5 shows the engine bay. Currently no performance upgrades have been added until Nissan's 35K warranty is over (which will be pretty soon). Please leave a comment and rate if you get a chance.
