World's First Custom Boxster !!
Featured in Oct 97 Edition of European Car Mag !!
Bought this car off ebay and after researching it was found to be the world's first custom Boxster! Purchased and customized by Mike Follmer Specialties in combination with TechArt/Gemballa
It was featured in a shootout titled Radical Roadsters and was put up against customized versions of BMW Z3 and Mercedes SLK
It has a TechArt body kit which consists of a two piece frt spoiler three piece frt grille with air ducts, Kevlar reinforced side skirts, engine air ducts and a rear spoiler.
Gemballa then added cross drilled rotors and painted Brembo Calipers then they added a stainless steel header and exhaust system which added about 5 horsepower and slightly deeper note!
Then Gemballa added Gemballa springs which dropped the vehicle about 1 inch and offered a slightly stiffer progressive rate.
Gemballa also added three piece 18 inch wheels 8 in frt and 10 in rear with 225/40ZR18 frt and 265/35ZR18 rear tires.
They also added a custom 3 spoke leather wrapped Porsche steering wheel along with matching leather on the roll bar!
I recently purchased a Hardtop for it which also gives it a different look I will add photos when I can.
Also forgot to add that vehicle only has 17K original miles on it!!
It was stored in Roger Penske's personal garage in California!
