These are pics of my Cavalier I bought new in '94.
I had seen an artical introducing the new body style. I went straight to a dealer and placed an order on one.
I said, "I want it just like the picture" as I pulled out my magazine and flipped to the page.
It took a month before one was shipped in.
The dealer added the body kit and changed the wheels.
They suprized me by showing up to my job with it.
I was 17 and stocking groceries at a Publix Supermarket.
Since it was my first new car, I felt like they had just dropped off an Aston Martin.
Once I got it, I lowered it, tinted, and debadged it.
The few other mods came later.
I received a lot of attention with it for a while since the body style was completely new. I'd get asked several times a day "What kind of car is that?"
I even had somebody ask me if it was "one of those electric cars" while I was pumping gas into it. Before I could answer, she was like "duh" and laughed at herself. If being at the pump wasn't enough, The dual exhaust should have given it away.
It ran flawlessly for six years before I sold it.
