Here are some pics and information on my 1965 Pontiac Tempest Custom. It's a 4 door but the price was right and it is still a classic car. I just finished assembling a 455 bored .030 to make 462 cubic inches. It has a Summit 2802 cam and lifters. 6X-4 heads milled slightly for straightness, 5 angle valve cuts, BBC rocker studs, Crane pushrods, springs and retainers and the heads also have guideplates installed. The pistons are TRW forged on stock reconditioned rods. It will have an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 750 cfm 3310-3 carb for the break-in period. If that goes well, I will be installing an Offenhauser dual quad intake with two 390 Holley carbs. Fuel is supplied through a Carter Mechaninical Street pump. Exhaust will be Sumit headers and custom dual exhaust. If the desktop dyno holds true I should have almost 400 HP and 475 ft pounds of torque. I also recently swapped out the old Super Turbine 300 transmission with a TH 350. It was a direct bolt in! Go to Page 2 for some pics of the motor...
