One of the first things I noticed about the new project car was the lack of engine and exhaust note.  On the test drive I didn't really notice it but after about 5 minutes of driving the thing around on my own, I knew I need an exhaust!

Like every project I started by checking all my favorite forums seeing what exhausts were available.  Being that this is my first Audi I really didn't know what I was looking for but after doing some quick research I decided to give STaSIS Engineering a call and see what they had for the A5.

John down at STaSIS which is it right on Infineon Raceway in Sanoma, CA responded with great news that he had a quad tip, dual exhaust that he could get out to me.  The exhaust came in a few days later and I helped the UPS driver unload a box that was larger then my entire smart car .  After a quick unboxing I was very impressed with the craftsmanship in the welds and loved the look of the tips with the STaSIS etching on the top of each tip!

Before I could install this exhaust sytem I had to switch out my rear valence with that of a Audi S5.  Being that the S5 comes stock with a dual exhaust system it has larger cutouts for the quad tip dual exhaust.  Here is the before and after photos with the stock exhaust system still in place.

When pulling the stock exhaust system I found it interesting that the stock exhaust canister appeared to be built for a dual tip similar to the S5 although the area for the second tip isn't opened up.

Well, the exhaust is installed thanks to the guys down at my local shop who lended a helping hand and I now up and running with the STaSIS Egineering exhaust installed. The sound is exactly what I was lookign for with lots of low end grunt and a nice projection at high RPM's as well.  Being that that car is still realtively new I have yet to really beat on it but I can feel more power at higher speed roll-ons and I'm enjoying the car much more.

Here is the latest pics of the new exhaust installed. Staty tuned for more driving impressions and video!

Here is a quick video of the car taken from a point and shot camera.  Check back in a couple of days and I will have some better quality video.
