I noticed quite a bit of windnoise from my sunroof when I first purchased the car. The windnoise seemed to be caused by the roof sitting a little too low. I spoke with the dealer and found the sunroof is easily adjustable via shims. After installing the shims I purchased for .65 cents a piece from Nissan, the wind noise is gone!

Here are the instructions for the shim install:

The part I purchased:

The actual shim part:

Remove this screw:

Pull down and out to remove the trim piece:

Loosen the bolt below the shims and add/remove shims (whichever is neccessary to make your sunroof sit flush:

Add/remove shims to the front and back as necessary until the wind noise is silenced.

My other question is: After the fire, the rear deack lid on my car is discolored. The same is true with the headliner. I am wondering if it is a better idea to recover the headliner and rear deck lid with suede or buy stock headliner and rear deck lid?

I have a 2002 6-speed maxima. I have done some mods to my car but am working on more. When I installed my first system the trunk caught on fire. I've fixed everything except the stock system since I don't use it. Trunk rattles a lot with the sub in the car and the front makes a noise when I turn the car. If you have any suggestions for me let me know. If you want to look at my car and suggest any mods performance or otherwise, feel free to comment also.
