This is my 1960 Rambler American 2 door wagon. This is my first car. I bought this car when I was 15 for $100. The previous owner took the engine out to rebuild it, and then lost interest. I bought it from him, and pretty much nothing has changed. (That's my 84 suburban behind it. That page will be coming soon too)

The 196 flathead has been machined and is ready to be put together. I just need to find a complete rebuild kit. I need pistons, bearings, and all gaskets. If you can help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it. All I can find is the overhead valve kits.

This is a shot of all of the parts in the back. The best looking parts of this car are the rebuilt starter, and generator. Unfortunately they aren't installed on the car yet.

I have had this car for ten years now. I just need to find parts to finish the engine. I'll get the paint done once it runs and drives. It is virtually rust free. That is always a plus.

I'll keep you up to date on it's progress.

Thank you for checking out my page.

Thanks for the comment on the Alero. Dig the rambler project, I went to the Detroit Autorama last May and a rambler won the ridler. Check it out. It was called Ferrambo built by Tim Divers super cool guy!
