Life throws you curves... so why build your car to go in a straight line???

My car is in the middle
I got the car in 2006. Had around 45,000 original miles on it. It had been sitting since about 1990. I fell in love with the car when i first saw it, even though it looked like junk. Unfortunately i didn't know that it was underpowered. I figured since it had a V8 it must be fast. It was a 5 speed also so i couldn't pass it up. I bought the car for 2,000 bucks. A little overpriced... or a lot. Here are a few picks from when i first got it.
I am not as old as some, so 80s cars are muscle car to me.
Luckily the guy had all the bumpers and nearly every other piece the car needed replaced.
It had some rust on the surface, but the frame is perfect.
My original intention for the car was to restore it to perfect original, but then i learned some stuff about the car such as: It only had the 305 5.0L LG4 165 horsepower v8. Which was pretty sad for a v8. Then I read that the car was one of the best handling car made it the 80s. I began to change my direction from restoration to RestoMod (fixing it and suping it up). Now the car is pretty respectable. It was 2 long slow years of barely working on it because i couldn't drive it yet. Since i got my license in 2007 however the project really took off. The car, I feel, is pretty respectable now.
Before any major body work was done. SexyAss stance though. Got new BFGoodrich Tracton T/A tires and redone rims.
Had to do some body work. Still needs some finished.
NOW FOR THE FUN PART....

Painted the car in my driveway. Came out damn good for the little effort we actually put into it.

My IROC is getting better and faster. But most of all it handles like a ferrari, or at least a vette, because of all the suspension mods. They're all listed below. I'll have individual pictures and descriptions soon. The engine has basic upgrades. Exhaust, Intake Manifold, Carb, Cold Air Intake, Ignition.

The engine is mostly just cleaned up and dressed up. The new intake and carb gave it good power but most of all made it run better. Heres a pic of the edelbrock setup: Carb, Manifold, and Strut Brace.
Below are pictures of the new intake. Its the original air cleaner modified to fit dual 2.5" intake piping. Larger, smoother intake means more air-velocity which means better top end power. It also reaches down in front of the radiator where cold air is scooped up by the radiator airdam underneath the car. It looks a hell of a lot better than stock too. And only cost about 15 bucks.

Good New Everyone! I got my wheels and tires! So now my bitchin camaro is rolling around on 17x9 Camaro F1 Zr1-style Rims. They are wrapped in Sumitomo's HTRZ3s spec'd at 275/40/ZR17. There are decent cheap Max peformance Summer Tire. Should stick even better now.
