Thanks for coming out!, this car made it to #5, thanks for all your votes! your the greatest!
a new season of pit cars are coming up, I can't wait!!!
THANKS FOR COMING OUT! but... .
DON'T be cheap!!! LEAVE A COMMENT DAMMIT!
1991 Toyota Corolla
currently under destruction.....
yes, a Toyota Corroded. My old ABSOLUTLY LEAST LIKED car EVER! Now I don't know if I love these cars or hate them even more!
This was the cars former home,
it was just relaxing for a bit...
...the only 2 toyotas I've ever owned... both Ready to go...
Mint condition, and ready to "tune" up n' atom!
uh oh... what's that thing hangin' there? I could still fix it!
Here's the previous owners' H.I.D. conversion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cooling system mods....
Because it's damn hot here right now for 2 weeks of the year, this little cars only enemy is heat. The 1/2 L capacity won't cut it, so it was promptly ripped out, stomped on, and thrown away.
A heavy duty sheetmetal bracket was made, with the seatbelt used for an anti-rub strip. Only the finest zip ties and screws were used of course.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
air intake mods....
Here's the hole for the ram air. I had it all in place and set up, then realized the battery goes there. I was going to put the battery in the back somewhere, and got the wires, but figured screw it, too much work, and ended up sticking it up top. It's out of view.
I was so pissed off, I never took a pic of the "in HL" setup. The hole is still open, and the original horn is still on in these pics.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
even more cooling system mods....
Here's the restrictive front intake, and custom made lower spoiler. I forgot to take pics of this one in progress.
By now, the horn has been replaced with one out of a '97 Chevy 3/4t.
The first pic has the ram air intake setup in the headlight hole, in the top rh corner.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
downforce mods....
Because this car is ready to fly, and every good rice rocket needs a fin.
This is the upright supports, made from those now useless headlight buckets.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
reduced backpressure....
The car could be ran with no muffler, no doubt, but it was broke off right at the head pipe, and it was disgusting sounding.
This old muffler of unknown origin was lying around on the side of the garage, so now it is in use again.
see the flaw?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the new exaust front to back (middle?) What a pain in the ass to clear the c.v.'s and crossmember. Then of course the complimentary muffler is round, not oval. I meant to swap around the top bracket for the muff before i welded it up, and forgot.
This car runs so sweet with a muffler on it again! It took 3 pieces of shit pipe, and the muffler. The rubber dohickey and steel bracket is donated by a 94 Corsica cat.
B.T.W., flex connectors and clamps/slip joints are for poseurs. But they do do the trick in a pinch sometimes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
halogen mods....
Every good ricer needs a set of foglights. Seeming the signals are useless now, out they come and in goes some scrap halogens from a 98 dakota.
They are held in with foil tape, and are run by a switch in the dash vent.
The switch is out of a '04 Grand Am, and idiot light lights up when they are on, as not to forget.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rice it up....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To THE PIT....
Round 1....
the damage....
Blown out spoiler, to be expected Lost muffler hanger, my bad design
Cracked exaust, on the FACTORY weld ...still good to go! and ready for the paint shop!
Also, now the car thinks one of its doors is always open, no matter how hard or much they are closed/slammed/booted!
The window fell off its regulator too. And the O2 sensor wires got ripped out. And the door jambs on the fender. And........
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Round 2....
mods are a comin!
new wheel, new shifter, new paintjob, new "remote" horn button, new new new!!!
dash cam too!
any sponsers out there? maybe you name on the side in neon yeller?

PAINT N' BLING dept.
...steering wheel and shifter
...the wheel was too much of a hassle to put on, it wasn't worth it. I don't wanna dick around with a poorly mounted wheel at 75K as the dirt pile is comin' up, and the stock wheel is pretty groovy, so it's back on again. doah!

Here is the last piece of the hood, now a muffler skid plate!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
paint...
Im really not diggin' this paint at all, but it's on and done.
This is why it's good to draw a sketch first, not just wing it.
I might change the top part, and do a flame job.
M O R E C O M I N G S O O N !!!!!!!!!!
many more pics and vids have been taken, i just don't have time right now to put them up.
...so ya'll come back soon!
...
If this damn car don't die soon, I'm gonna have to put another hood on it and drive it all winter, out of spite! Everything still works on it!
here's the test video, thanks for comin out!
i was alone, couldnt film shift and drive too well, so it kinda sucks.

I can't get this stupid site to embed it like every other site out there, so you have to cut n' paste it, doah!
ATTENTION: THE PIT CAR HAS BLOWN ITS' CLUTCH ON THE 5TH TRIP OUT, IT HAS DIED!
IT WILL BE USED FOR PARTS NOW, BY 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE I KNOW!
$28 well earned... up next??? lookie it even has a cage!
LOOK FOR THE NEXT PIT CAR COMING SOON, AN 86 NISSAN 300ZX! FUN!
