Silver Bullet
I picked this car up for $600 back in january to replace Blackie who was dieing of the cancer and needed too much work done to pass local emissions testing anyway. Many parts from blackie live on strongly in this new "Silver Bullet" and I'm loving this new car (well love/hate) more each day.

Back in April a friend and myself set about Turbo Charging the car as I had been collecting parts for a few months. It took 10 days and a million trips to various stores, but we got it running. I swapped J-Spec KLZE Heads/Cams/Intake on to the lower compression US-Spec KLDE block/pistons. With almost 9PSI the car hauled ass, but the water injection system failed and in an epic explosion on the freeway, i smokescreened the entire country side with a blown piston.

Sooo, the car got an emergency motor transplant, back to the stock KLDE engine, but at least with the recovered KLZE Intake Manifold. My guess is the car is putting down somewhere around 260whp right now, as the tune isn't very good yet.

I've now installed my pheno spacers that i had laying around - that was interesting, wasn't too sure how i was going to do with the studs, but everything went perfect.  It does appear to keep the intake temp down a bit.  Mostly on smaller drives (say < 1hour) as i can still lean on the intake and not get burnt.  But after a couple hours, or parking the car and letting it heat soak, its still back to roasting hot.

The video is the first night i had the turbo running.  I'm running the full 9lbs, but only to about 5000rpm, and i haven't done ANY tuning yet, so its running very rich (around 9.5:1 or 10:1).  Also, the water injection wasn't functioning yet i don't think.

I will get more pics uploaded shortly, along with some videos but i seem to have misplaced all my media... hmm..  UPDATE!  www.probetube.com has some media now!

Hey I like the work that you have done. I'm getting the motor built and turboed over the winter. I uploaded of few pics of my turbo manifold on my page, and I have the turbo-back exhaust that I'm just running the cat-back for now.
