Wow ... Is this ever a long time ago. My Old 1967 Austin Mini Estate.

I bought this car for $700 when I was 17 back in 1990. It was a wreck. Didn't run, drive or anything!... It was so badly rusted that there was no Floor(or lower 1/4 of the car for that matter).. but I fell in love with her and laid out my summer job cash on the spot. My dad helped my drag it home an I went to work. Pretty much All of the sheet metal on the floor was replaced. I worked at an english car shop... so I could order stuff at cost from UK. In the end she got new sills,Floors,Valences,New rear subframe, gas tank...etc. I bought a 1275cc engine out of an autin America and had it rebuilt. I should of NOt used my orginal 850cc gearbox(but that is now hindsight)... Nothing like driving with No syncros on First and second..hard to beleive they made em' like that!. I had a great metalic blue spray job... The car really did look great and won a couple of awards when I showed it. I drove her across Canada(again... Crazy on Hindsight)... with all that it entailed.

I did own a couple of other mini's after that a 68 cooper S mk2, and a 76 1000. Wish I could find pics... maybe one day(the 76 was so rusty... the door fell of going around a corner and scared the shit out the girl I was with at the time!)

Also here is my 73 MGB. I bought her for $2000 in 94. She had been vandalized in an underground parkade.. all the glass smashed. I found all the stuff and put her back together... really hot looking car. I drove her fo a couple years with barely any work needed.... Pretty good quality for British Leyland!@*

I had a nasty accident in her when a kid ran a stop sign doing 70km on a residential street.... sucked.... but the write off was really good!

I had a couple of other MGB's.... a 69 GT with overdrive(nice) and another 73 but in purple... loved them all.

After my accident... I went for the biggest car I could find... a 1963 Caddy!!!... great car.... but man the gas sucked(even back in 96 when it was way cheaper).... a cool car with electric everything(even the front BENCH seat!).... I had leopard skin seat covers made... very sexy! lol.. I wish I had more pics of her too...
