I got my 3 in September of 2007 after the car I was originally going to get was horrible when seen in person.  My frist car was a 98 VW Jetta, modded with an intake and Magnaflow exhaust.  It started giving me trouble so I sold it to my friend.  On Autotrader I found a silver TRD Celica for about $9000.  Being 17, I saw the body kit and immediately wanted the car.  I went to check it out and everything looked good.  I took it for a ride and it both looked and sounded good.  However, when I got back to the dealership, all the pushy salesman wanted was my money, so I decided to drag my feet and look the car over in detail.  First, the bodykit was falling off, and second...the oil had metal shavings in it...mr. salesman didn't like that we found this.  So after he pretty much begged us to take the car after offering to fix everything, we were on our way home.  We drove past an Acura dealership and I saw a yellow Evo VIII, so we decided to take a look at it just for kicks.  Then we saw a black RSX-S and took it for a ride.  But when we pulled back in to the dealership, we parked next to my future car.  The color was so bright and eyecatching that I took the car for a ride just for fun.  Turned out that the sport tuned suspension amazed me so I decided that I wanted the car, not to mention that it had a little zoom zoom in the engine.  The next year I decided to start modding and haven't looked back since...PLEASE NOMINATE FOR SOTW! Thanks!

Updates

August 4

New pics are up of badgeless grill and our trip down to PSU Main Campus

July 20

My badgless grill arrived today, shipped 8 days after the guy said he would do it so im sort of mad about that, but it's here and it's gorgeous, I'll put pics up soon

July 7

Just ordered an open mouth grille from a member on Mazda3Forums.  It's coming off of an '05 Winning Blue sedan so fitment won't be an issue.  Can't wait until it comes!   I also ordered a pedobear and 2 other decals for the car which should be arriving

June 5

Sharkfin is in the home stretch, just a few more coats of clear and it will be ready.  I placed it on the car yesterday to see how it looks and it may be just me but I though that it changed the entire appearance of the car.  I also got the trunk emblem done and I have to say for my first time using a dremel, it came out amazing, pics up soon!

June 4

Currently painting my sharkfin antenna and "batmanizing" my trunk Mazda emblem.

June 3

9:30pm and thanks to my girlfriend, realized that I can paint my shark fin antenna since my friend mixed me up some Winning Blue in a spray can...just finished wet sanding

Just painted my "carbon fiber" dash strip winnging blue. woo!

So I was heading to napa and I see this kid behind me in a gorgeous 09 Eclipse. He comes up on my ass and I knew that I was about to be the victim of a ricer fly by once the passing lane opened up. I prepared myself for the crime that was about to be committed, and made sure I didn't laugh in the kids face as he accelerated past me, because, well, that would be too easy. He proceeded to cut someone off 2 cars ahead, thus proving his manhood, or lack thereof...who am I to judge. I failed to mention that the car sounded like a mouse breaking wind between two tightly pressed blades of grass. If you have a modified car, there's no point in trying to impress someone by speeding past them...because A.) you think you're the man, while everyone else realizes your an idiot who mindlessly wastes gas during fly bys, B.) you get a ticket and you then realize you're an idiot, or the mother of them all C.) the person who you passed catches up in 5 feet and destroys you, making you feel like an idiot...all these scenarios have something in common...you look like an idiot

May 30

Got around to intalling the blue LEDs in my trunk and glove box...all while managing not to break anything, I'll have pics up soon.

May 5

Finally got around to my HIDs, I stood around while my friend did them...me + wiring = bad, pics up soon

April 26

Got some awesome news on Friday the 24th...apparently the last time I had brakes done, my old mechanic stripped one of the holes in the bracket that holds the passenger side front caliper in place.  He was nice enough not to let me in on this little tidbid of information, so when I went to Kost to have my crossdrilled and slotted rotors and EBC pads put on, I was informed.  They tried but couldn't tap and rethread the hole so they ended up boring it out and slapping in an oversized bolt.  The guy always takes care of me and let me slide on a $120+ service.  So now I'm out $100 on a new caliper thanks to an idiot who can't take the heat of a personal mistake.  Better yet, I have amazing stopping power and can't even use it since the caliper isn't fixed the correct way.  Awesome! Pics up soon
