Shopping list to start out with:
1. CertiFit
Bumper, Front cover (97-99) +/-$60
2. MachV
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs $200
DG Harness Bar $329
PowerStop Rotors $239
Braided Brake Lines, Stainless $99
3. Autobahn
Corbeau 4-point Bolt in Harness (x2) $79 ea.
I also plan to completly remove the rear seat, since the harness bar renders it completely useless. Farther down the road I may swap the motor for a low-mileage 420a and get a turbo system. As for now, I need to do some repairs to the tie-rods, get some newer wheels, and get a paint job. If you can't tell, the current paint is oxidized.
Update 1/30/2009
Yesterday, I replaced the tie-rods (inner and outer) and had an alignment done. Come to find out, while removing the boot(s), power steering fluid poured out of both sides. My mechanic told me that due to this discovery, I need to keep an eye on the level of fluid in the resovoir. Within the next 3-4 months it might be a good idea to replace the whole rack and pinion system to avoid any unforseen problems.
Also I found that the rear main seal needs replacing, and the crank sensor seal is leaking. Next on the list is replacing rear main and crank sensor seals, as well have a valve-cover gasket. Not too much farther down the road I may just bit the bullet and get another 420a motor from the junk yard and throw on the turbo from Hahn Racing.
I would've taken some pics of the process, but forgot to grab the camera before I went to the shop.
More to come.
