I got this 72 Challenger set up as a drag only car. I'm going about fixing a little bit of rust and repainting the exterior. The front floor pans will be replaced and the total interior replaced. New carpet, headliner, door panels, dash pad, seats, seat belts ect. The engine is a 71 383 supposedly with 11.1 pistons, Comp Cams Extreme Energy .507 int/.510exh lift 284/296 duration. Not sure on the heads, Hooker 2" race headers, 3" flowmaster exhaust, Weiend intake and 750 holley carb. I've totally rewired the engine compartment and put the factory altenator back on and replaced all missing P/S pump pieces. The radiator is a massive BeCool unit and I also replaced the old points dizzy with a Mopar electronic unit. Underneath there's a 727 with TCI reverse manual VB, and a 3600 ACC Outlaw converter. custom 4" aluminum driveshaft and 8 3/4 rear. The rear is fitted with 4:56 gears, rebuilt posi and Summers axles. The rear Centerlines are 15 X 10s with 325/50/15 BFG drag radials. The subframes are connected and the S/S leaf springs are moved inboard and tubbed so the wheels are all underneath. The front suspension replaced and 15 X 3 1/2 Centerlines are polished. I'm almost finished with mechanicals and ready to tackle the paint and body (something I've never done)
