This is one of many pictures, but the only one i have on my computer right now - the rest are on the way. It was taken in December of 2006, and since then much has changed...
In short, i began taking the vehicle apart knowing that i was to run into a lot of rust underneath, i wanted to try starting it thinking that after 16 years of poor storage (even through canadian winters) that there was no chance. After changing two batteries, filling the tank with premium fuel and flooding the carb with ether she started up without hesitation. As i breathed a massive sigh of relief, i decided to bring the car back in my dad's auto body shop(i had it stored outside, uncovered for nearly a year. As we drove it in, we neglected to check the brakes ...
needless to say the money i thought i had to spend on the now running engine, will be directed towards a new bumper and hood:(
many fiat enthusiasts have told me to scrap it or sell it for parts, but now i am even more driven to keep this little bastard alive.
