As I bought my first EVO in Feb. 2008 it was nearly stock. Only the wheels have been changed from stock to Racing Sparco wheels.

The engine seemed to be in good condition. But I had to face the fact, that maybe the ringlands were broken, because the engine was leaking oil almost everywhere.
So I decided to have a complete engine overhaul. As we took the engine apart we could see the broken pistons.

I ordered a set of Eagle H-beam Rods with Wiseco Pistons.

Also a complete set of ARP Studs

To make the performance a little better I bought a tubular manifold

and adjustable cam gears

and a HKS SSQV.

I replaced the old oilcooler by a new 19 row oilcooler.

I also could get an almost new TD05 Big 16G turbo.

The inside of my EVO will stay stock as it is.

I only add some gauges. Here the Blitz boostgauge.

Further I will add oilpressure and -temperaturegauges.

After 3 month the engine returned from the shop.

Very shiny.

The head is slightly ported.

August 1st, 2008

A few days ago the rest of my ordered parts arrived. As you can see there is
a GReddy Profec B

a new radiator from ASI Performance

and a complete stainless steel 3" exhaustsystem.

I´ll also renew all bushes on the rear axle as they all are complete worn out.

The car will get Ralli Art engine mounts.
The suspension is a mix of adjustable Ralli Art shocks with Cusco coils springs.

I hope the whole job will be done within the next 2 or 3 month.

I can´t await driving my EVO.
