This is my 79 Trans Am resto. I seen this car when I was 15 and when it was in show quality. The owner wanted $9,000 which was way out of my price range. Six years later passed and I found this car on ebay. It was located an hour south from me. It happend to be sitthing on the side of the garage under a tree for 2 years. The elements took their toll on it. Trust me the car looks great in the pictures compared to what it really looked in real life. On July 10th 2008 I contacted the owner and talked to him to sell the car to me for a resonable price since nobody was bidding on the car because of this asking price. So here is the progress on her. I plan on repainting the car a very similar metallic blue with correct 79 Trans Am decals. No pink and baby blue 1990's stripes this time for sure! haha.

The Trans Am when I came to pick it up.

This is the Trans Am in my garage, the day I bought.
my bro and I started sanding it down.
Really shitty bondo job done by previous owner.

I cut out the rusted areas and marked the with primer.
New sheet metal for rusted quarter.
Filled and Primed.

Repaired area.

Trans Am is almost ready for a full coat of primer.

Two coats of primer.

PROBLEM!!! PRIMER HAD A CHEMICAL REACTION WITH PAINT.
WERE DOING THE BODY RIGHT NOW AND STRIPPING IT DOWN TO BARE METAL.
