Jon's 73 mustang was ordered May 1st of 73 and delivered June 5th. This car was special ordered for him, the last week  that the  first generation mustangs could be ordered.

This mustang was ordered with :

 351 cleveland, 4 barrel,

3.25 traction lok

c6 auto

 competition suspension with tow package

exterior paint was metallic blue glow

interior color was white ruffino/corinthian vinyl bucket seats.

In 1983, I left my original motor in Grants Pass, Or.in a storage facility, it sold at auction in 1985, if anyone has any clue of its whereabouts would be greatly appreciated

After years of sitting we've decided to get it cleaned up and on the road again.

We've torn it down and was really amazed that it wasn't in worse shape than it is, the cowl is solid, the battery side apron was starting to rust but we caught it before it got too bad, driverside apron was in excellent shape, floorpans had some holes, trunk pan had minor holes, the majority was surface rust.

Tailpanel was rusted under taillights so we popped it out, had a 73 NOS taillight panel that we're going to install.

Back in 1980, I had a Ford racing block ( the nascar block) installed in my car, which was putting out about 500+hp, this is the damage the high hp motor did to this car.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for joining the group!!! You refered to yourself as "we," how many of you are there? As for your question, it's not a concours restoration. I'm doing a concours "resto-modification"!!! LOL. But, yes, it will be a complete bolt-off resto. Nothing left untouched!
