Here are some pictures of my 1972 442, this car was purchased in 1983 from the original owner, Ms. DeCabaldi purchased the car new from Colonial Motors in Providence RI.I chased this lady home in my 78 Chevette and asked her to sell me the car. Can you believe a sixty year old lady was driving this every day! I had to put in a new rug and seats. I added the tilt column. It really does look nice with the white interior

I just freshed up the motor for this summer. Nothing looks cooler than a freshly painted 455 In the trunk is an NOS Goodyear Polyglas Tire, this is mounted on an original rim, the tire is not a reproduction but an original, I don't even want to tell you how long it took to find this.

I'm back to list more pics,,,, but first ,,,, A WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING TO ANYONE VIEWING THIS CAR AND PHOTOS, THERE IS A SCAMMER IN LONDON WHO COPIED PICTURES OF THIS CAR, MY CAR, STATING IT WAS HIS CAR, WHICH HE WAS PARTING OUT TO FINANCE ANOTHER PROJECT, HE WAS INCLUDING IN EMAILS PICTURES ASKING PEOPLE TO VIEW THE CAR AND EMAIL HIM WHICH PARTS THEY WANTED AND THEN HE WOULD SHIP THEM OUT THE PARTS, ,,,,,, DO NOT BE FOOLED OR SCAMMED, I AM NOT PARTING OUT THIS CAR NOR AM I SELLING PARTS OFF IT, IF YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH PICTURES OF THIS CAR YOU CAN BE ASSURED IT IS A FAKE OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so I finally got a chance to redo the original jack, I diassembled it, and has it replated in Yellow Zinc DiChromate along with the hold down hook. A new hold down nut and jack sleeve from Fusick Automotive,,, starting to look better,,,,, The the final touch, an NOS GM centercap,,,,, Stylin' :-)

Well I'm back to add a few pics, I had some parts replated for my 1970 Rallye 350, so while I was prepping those parts I though I needed to redo a set of front bumper running lights, so here we go ,,,, I removed an original set from a spare front bumper I had and then removed the socket assembly ,,,,,,, YES they do come apart ,,,,,, the ends are rolled over and are made of copper so they are soft and easy to break but I made a tool to de-roll the edges ,,,,, so after a quick run through my plastic bead blaster, a quick polish, then a good degreasing, they are off to the plater,

After plating with yellow dichromate I taped them up and repainted the white background, once dry, they are reassembled, the sockets reinstalled and the edges rolled back down to secure them, check out the pics, ,,,, too Cool !!!!! Better than NOS !!!!!

WOW Nothing better then a bolting on freshly replated parts ,,,, be sure to check out the other Oldsmobiles in my garage, the 1970 Rallye 350 resto is put on hold temporarily as the 1984 Hurst Olds is getting prepped for a nice fresh coat of paint,,,, be sure to check back as I am adding more pics of the Hurst Olds restoration ,,,,, Stay tuned for our next exciting episode ,,,, same bat time, same bat channel ,,,, :-)
