the car is pretty much all original except for the 350 and 700r4...the car originally had a 283 w/ powerglide. I bought the car and 2 days after i blew the engine... :S so i'll get another 350 to drive the car a bit more before winter and i'll rebuild the other one for next summer...other plans are posi rear, disc brakes, dark cherry paint and cragars...any other ideas???

the body is pretty clean and rust free except for the front fender a bit behind the wheel and a spot on the hood where the chrome ends.

the interior is amazingly clean. i would eat off the carpets. The previous owner used to sit on a blanket to avoid damaging the seats. Theres one tear on the rear seat thats about 1 foot wide...and thats practically it.

this is the 350 that died...it was out of an 88 police/taxi caprice. im either gonna get a 350 for this summer and rebuild mine to a decent 350hp, or i'll get a 402 now and keep it in!!...

more pics soon

Just saw your update. Glad to hear you're back in action on this ol' girl! I still say the paint's great as-is, but that's just me. ;) PM sent.

Hey Marc, to answer your comments: If I were you I'd leave the color alone. Don't see many big b-body Chevys this color. How about body color mags instead of flat black ones? Or maybe semi-gloss black mags? Either way, they could look interesting with your current color. I'd shy away from the flat black (even with a two-tone twist) b/c it looks to me like you've got a decent paint job already. No need to mess that up at this point. As for the cost to lower my car, well it was pretty much free since I just cut my original coils. ;)

Cool 'cayne! Very unique color. Sounds like you're going to do the same stuff I'm trying to do to my Cayne. (I've got a nice sbc and posi rear so far.) Best of luck with yours. Stop by www.chevytalk.com sometime and check out the 67-70 Impala forum. Lots of good info!
