Engine Start Up Attempt 3 and Starter Motor Failure
At this point I was really confused, I thought I'd done everything. All voltages on injector wires seem there, so there is fuel, there is also spark, there should be compression and correct timing.
Moving on, I fitted the air filter which arrived and relocated the 2nd fuel filter (?) of which I cut the bracket from earlier to fit the intercooler pipe as so:

I also got a new battery as mine didn't seem to hold charge for very long and wasn't giving a good burst of amps to turn the starter motor strongly, luckily my battery had a 3 year guarantee and was only one year old, so this was free:

Anyhow, back to starting the engine, I tried a few jump leads, a bit of diagnosis showed the ECU still wasn't properly being fed +12V, I'm not sure why, but I fed the injectors with +12V directly through a connector near the battery (blue female connector on engine loom). I got much the same result as before, it still didn't start, then of course, another issue occurs.
I thought I must have played around with feeding +12V into too many connectors, so put all wires back as they were, checked the fuses and still had a clunk sound as opposed to a starter motor spinning:
Great! Another issue to solve, I found out the starter circuit is completely seperate from the engine loom, so anything I did shouldn't have effected the starter motors ability to turn. I checked all continuity of the circuit, and it seemed fine, so the only thing left was a potential faulty starter motor. I got this out and decided to see for myself (all in the rain on this day hence the cover over the engine bay/car) and this is what I got:
So the starter motor was pretruding out but not spinning. I could have stripped it apart and refurbished it (it was one part from the old engine, I didn't get this starter motor from the new 4AGZE package), or get a replacement. Of course the first thing to do though is fiddle; so I just started turning it by hand, although it seemed stiff at first. However when I demo'd it to someone else what had happened to the starter motor it span up! I guess it was just sticking a bit due to grime or something in there, I found out it has happened to others, and a quick old skool tactic of hitting it with a hammer usually frees it up ready to go again. A tip for the future there. So of course, the starter motor went back on and was well again. No need for a video, you should know what my engine turning over and not firing up sounds like by now if you've been watching the videos!
Back to the starting the engine then. As my random feeding of +12V directly into the injectors was interupted by the starter issue I could have another go at all different combinations of wiring to see if any worked. I found in most cases I had my battery warning on the dash before I even turned on the ignition, so clearly wasn't going to come up with a permenant solution, but still that wasn't the aim at the moment, I just wanted it to start.
Everything seemed hopeless, I even called a mobile auto electrician to see if one could get it started (the start of admitting defeat), but a few of them was scared off by the whole engine conversion thing, I never got one to come out though. During another last attempt starting the engine, I was turning it over and looking in the engine bay as I do. I thought about my other car. Sometimes it needed some throttle to get it started; to let a bit more air in the engine. So I thought I'd try the same on the Levin; I pushed on the throttle body open flange as I was turning over the engine to see if it would help anything.
The engine choked for a second, then...
