Thanks for checking out "BADFISH", my 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, Formula "S" model. I am the second owner , having purchased the car in early 1970. The car has about 130,000 actual miles on it. All of the modification were done to reflect the early 70's muscle car era. It was repainted in 1990 the Metallic Blue color shown. It is not a daily driver but I put about 500 miles a year on her.
This picture of the front of the car clearly shows the Twin Snorkel Hood Scoop that was added in 1973. The scoop is functional and bolts on. All of the front trim and lights are original. The front bumper was re-plated in 1990. The hood pin kit is from a 71 Barracuda.
This rear end picture shows a Barracuda emblem that was not standard on the 65's. It was added to cover a dent made by a careless driver in a mall parking lot. The rear bumper was replated in 1990.
The interior is totally stock, I had it reupholstered in the original Black in 2004. All of the trim pieces were replaced with NOS parts when possible or high quality reproduction pieces. The instrument cluster is original and all of the gauges still work. The radio is the only piece in the interior to be upgraded.
Custom CUDA floormats were added to the front and rear seat areas as well as a fire extinguisher behind the front seats. All of the carpeting was replaced with factory original material.
The rear seat and cargo area are all stock as are the rear glass and defroster. The seats still folds down to make a 7 FT. hauling area and the rear panel in the trunk still functions, allowing additional access. The trunk is fully carpeted and still has the original spare tire that came with the car.
The engine is a 340 transplant from 1969. It is bored .030 over with a mild street cam. The Edlebrock manifold and carb complete the top end. The fenderwell headers were made by Cyclone headers in the early 70's and are still functioning. MOPAR electronic ignition was added along with a Accel coil.
A 904 automatic transmission with a BM shift kit connected to 8 3/4 Sure Grip rear end does the moving. 4:10 gears along with hardened axles were added in the 70's to beef up the differential. All of the mag wheels are Rocket brand, 14" dia. and were added in 1971. They maintain the 4" bolt pattern and 7/16" lugs along with the right and left handed threaded lugs.

Going to various car shows during the year gives me a chance to show off BADFISH. The car is always well received and has picked up a few awards.
