Here is the history on the car:
The original owner is unknown, but early in it's life the car was prepared for high performance track use by one of the most highly regarded BMW tuners in the country, TC Kline Racing in Columbus, Ohio. (www.tcklineracing.com) That's where it got it's Ferrari Chrome Yellow paint. The next owner lived in San Diego, who is a personal friend of the owner of Bimmer Haus who ended up doing a lot of the work to the car. Once it was brought out this way Bimmer Haus did a LOT of work to it. It ended up winning the SCCA STX national championships and then it was parked as the owner got a VERY rare E36 M3 lightweight. After that he let the car sit for a couple of years with his focus on the lightweight and so he gave it away to his son's best friend and I was able to get my hands on it (and save it) from a guy that really didn't know what he had! Lucky me...
