2.2L I4 4-Speed Auto
this is my chevy cavalier. I bought it when I was 13. Its my first car.
I have only put one upgrade on it and that is a Weapon R intake. the chevy orange valve cover was done when I was bored and turned out better than I thought.

I don't get a lot of compliments on it. its often called a chick car, but I don't care. Its usually fast enough to be competitive with the people who talk trash anyway. I'm not saying its this great sports car though. come on. its a daily driver that gets 32 miles per gallon if I drive it normally. I think it looks a lot better than the usual cavalier with body kits and neon lights. that stuff is worthless. Although not too many people in the J-body community agree with me.
If you ask me, the engine is too small, it has the wrong transmission, it lacks awd, and the tires are a little too skinny. i would prefer a 3.1L V6 out of a later model malibu, a 5-speed manual, all-wheel drive, and 7" wide rims with tires to match. I won't do anything to change it though. GM put a lot of work into the 3rd generation J-body and while its far from fast, it just doesn't give up. if I want to make a car fast, why spend my money on a car that wasn't built for speed to begin with? I have a camaro for that purpose. not saying the set-up i dream about isn't fantastic and great, but its a little too ambitious for a car I drive every day. maybe someday right?
