Bought: Oct, 2007
me and my camaro the day i brought it home!
I bought this 89 2.8L Camaro for $200. it wasn't running, and it needed a lot of work. The owners were not the smartest...
I've put in a new 3.1 originally out of a 92 camaro that was rebuilt and put into a S10 pick up.
the motor has about 50,000 miles on a rebuild it and sounds pretty good for a V6. its a 5 speed manual. I wouldn't buy an automatic f-body, not enough fun.
the new engine before
and after
of course its going to need a new paint job eventually, but right now I'm trying to get it mechanically sound. I've been taking my time and making sure everything is done right. Its not on the road yet, but its now moving under its own weight.
the lack of driver side floor!!!
floor is fixed!!! for now!!!
I've installed a new master cylinder because the old one was pretty leaky.
10/22/08 new rear sway bar end links make a huge difference. its had a broken end link since I've had it. I've been tinkering with it and looking at making my own wonderbar and sub-frame connectors, but of course I need to be able to drive the car to do anything really.
picked up a new hood off of an iroc z.
and now this hood is mine. probably a 90-92 iroc-z. ran seafoam through brake booster line, now the car runs 5X better. later I might run more through the fuel system. now I've been installing new plugs, a new brake line, and new injector o-rings.
