this is my 95 charade, the car is focused on audio and sound qaulity, ive been playing around with it as a hobby for a while now, recently ive started to take it to some sound qaulity shows and have been getting good feedback, looking forward to entering the car in the mobile electronics sound qaulity competition next year, ill be entering this year, but just for experience... hopefully it does well, ive spent alot of money and time on it.....hope you like it, let me know what you think of it and where it needs improvement, dont say the motor cos it wont be happening :) cheers.. oh, and its best db is 141.2db on the term lab.. thats sealed boxes remember..
THE CAR IS GETTING LOWERED VERY SOON.. EDITED ON 16TH OF JULY 09
the dash board of the car has a custom made pod holding a centre channel focal speaker for surround sound purposes.. it has a 4inch tacho, 2x2inch gauges for water temp and amplifier temps.. it has a stinger voltage meter and bass boost knob built into it aswell.. theres also a 7inch slave screen for the passengers veiwing... here are some pics of it.. never mind the worong mess on the passenger floor, it was being worked on at the time of the pics, and i didnt notice it... :)
theres also, a saas sports steering wheel, all plastics have been colour coded to match the install and car..... future plans include relocating the processors single din faceplate (in lower console at the moment) into the centre vent location.. obviously id have to block those vents and just use the side ones and under dash heater vents..

pic below is an updated pic, showing new painted trim peices, head unit mounting mods, gear selector trim painted, etc.. edit on 16th of july 09...

this is the amp rack, it has 2 300/4, they are 4channel amps, 75watts rms each channel, or 150 as a 2 channel, at 4ohm, the power output is stable down to 11volts..

this pic is the same as the previous pic but with the neons on obviously

this pic just shows the amp rack from a diffrent angle, there are computer fans behind the capacitor to circulate air from the front and its vented out the bottom of the amp rack into the spare wheel well..

the screen below is the alpine iva-d106e.. its the current 2008 model alpine unit... its the only one i could fins with a detachable face plate in single din, and also ive added the rux-c701 controller wich is in the pocket below the drink holder.. the rux-c701 controls the audio processor.. its the pxa-h701 multi media manager.. it allows 8channel time allignment/correction, 8channel variable crossover, 1/3 octave graphic or parametric eqaulizers.. 31 band eq on each speaker including the tweeters and mids seperately when running in active mode.. it has dolby digital, dolbi pro logic, DTS... bass engine... etc..
so when i add the centre channel to the dash pod ive made for it, and the rear speakers ill be able to watch videos in full 5.1 surround sound...

the pic below shows the visor screens... well it only shows one side, but there are two fitted.. updated pics soon.... this pic was before the sports steering wheel went on..

the pic below shows the processor, it will be mounted upside down, under the passenger seat so its kept up out of the way, and free from dust etc..

below = this is the motor, it has the hc-e 1.3, ive added a deep cycle yellow top battery to the engine bay, i made a custom tray as they factory one wasnt large enough, it only just fits there with enough room for the gear box selector to pass by the battery with out rubbing against it.. there is another battery, which is larger then that in the back of the batch area.. its a yellow top deep cycle aswell....

below = i took out the rear wiper and lock, it was vibrating too much and sounded crap, i took the lock out to keep it looking smoother at the back...the wiper use to bounce about a cm off the glass, lol. i ,made the tail light covers , they are fibre glass, and if any one wants a set made, they are $180 delivered to anwhere in aus... thats just the covers and youll need to stick them to your tail lights with sekaflex adheasive...

below = a layer to the outer skin, the cut 3mm mdf to cover the service holes and then layed deadener over that, theres also convoluted foam behind the speaker itself to kill the rear sound wave..

below = the drivers side door that i retrimed, they are focal kps 6.5 inch splits in the doos, with the tweeter in the a-pillar and cross overs in the kick panel area..the trim is bolted to the door which is done when the speaker is out, its just normal clips the rest of the way around but i wanted it solid as could be where the speaker was..

below = the passenger side door, minus the window winder, i think my lil dog ran off with it while i was working,lol...not too worry i have another one on the now...the material is from the holden range, the red is marine vinyl and is really good for uv protection compared to some of the cheaper vinyls you can buy.

below = this pic shows the mods ive made to the hatch lid.. i filled it with expansion foam and shped it the way i wanted and then fibreglassed over it... i used the original wiring in the hatch from the wiper motor and hatch window light.. im getting a chrome logo made up to match the down lights, and it will be oval with the word jl audio inside it...

above = the downlights installed and on... they are blue obviously, with 20w globes... the date on the pic is not correct,lol... i had just changed batteries and not re set the date..
THESE PICS BELOW ARE ADDED AS AN UPDATE AND ARE ON THE LAST PAGES TOO BECAUSE I HAVE JUST UPDATED THIS THREAD..... I WILL COME BACK AND ORGANISE ALL THESE PICS ASAP.. THANKS FOR LOOKING.. EDITED 16TH OF JULY 09

below is the sub downlights and the undercar neons... the under car neons are multi coloured and have a remote control to activat hundreds of diffrent options for colouring and flashing, etc... ... rarely used except for car shows etc

the pic below shows the f2 spoiler ive just fitted.. i had a detomaso spoiler on it but it vibrated so much from the sub bass so i removed it... i prefer this style anyway..
