thecrystalskull's 1979 Volkswagen Scirocco

Here's a little bit on my daily flogged Scirocco.

Page 1 - What's goin' on these days.
Page 2 - What's happened to get the car (or an excuse to show pictures of my older/other dubs)
Page 3 - Original and older pictures of the car, from the initial assembly and first year or so.

I just finished installing Digifant II system in preparation for a stand-alone system. Well, really it's cause I'm a cheap bastid and I couldn't justify $150 for knock sensor harness(!, I had the componants, my harness was beat) when I could get the whole EFI system for $100.

Guerilla Digifant install. It has since been swapped back to CIS.

Recently, I've swapped in a 2.0l short block. Other goodies added at the same time were an Autotech 286 cam and adjustable gear, lightened flywheel, Neuspeed throttle and some good, old-fashioned polishing.

New engine bay pics, I just got the drivetrain installed, so please don't mind the mess...

In a junk yard, with a lot of luck and a little persistence.
