DVD INSTAL in Land RoverThis is my Land Rover Discovery TD5 which has just had TVs' put into both front headrests.I first tested the system before starting the instal and am pleased to say that it worked first time. First task is to remove the headrest, mark up the area to be cut with tape and then swallow hard - and cut!Once the outer cover has been cut you must carefully remove the foam inside to maintain the headrest shape. DOnt just rip it out, take the time now and you wont regret it! The headrest now looks like this: Next job is to feed some cable ties around the internal metal posts to anchor the monitor down.Once the headrest is put together it is time to feed the cable down the back of the seat. First take off the "grab handles" either side of the LR headrest, remove the seat base plastic side covers, unclip the upholstery from the base of the seat back and feed a stiff wire through from the top down. The wire is then used to pull the AV cables up through the back of the seat with some swearing and hey presto once put back together again it will look like this: The DVD player is mounted below the passenger seat with remote eye cables fed forward through the transmission tunnel/centre armrest area. The 12V supply is pulled off the cigarette lighter. The end result? A happy 2 year old daughter!!!!!
