two months after I bought "the family car" I personally installed the side fender vents. check out the pictures.
after cutting into the fender I primed the cut out and sprayed it with an under body paint to prevent rust build up.
I also custom fit the billet inserts on the fenders that I had
bought for my bumper tow hooks.
