Brembo Brakes painted
Well i finally got around to doing it this weekend sorry for the long update people was working on my 350z getting body kit painted etc check that page out to see what has been done. Anyways now on with the evo i recently touched up my calipers they were old ugly peeling and nasty like most evo owner here is how to make them look just plain COOL and bring your rims out
there is multiple ways to do this here is the best way that way your not struggling. GO to autozone and buy this kit. Also get you some 40 grit sand paper to sand down the calipers
here is my work area i know messy but looks organized to me lol but anyways. Yes you have to take off the wheel if you want to do it right
misc stuff you will need towels towels and towels. Directions and sandpaper. Some tape as well to cover the bleeder. Something to put under yourself so you dont spill paint which you will on ground unless you dont care.
i made as you can see out of sand paper a little cover to cover the inside of the caliper. You dont want to get paint in there PERIOD. after you paint the first one you should be good enough to not need it but remember if this is your first time like me then take your time and do this for the first one.
this is what it is looking like as i am sanding it down. remember if you dont have replacement stickers for the brembo dont sand down that sections just around it. so you can keep your sticker. Yes your can order some new Heat stickers online i did but the guy made mine to big so im not buying anymore.
NOW FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS IN THE KIT IT EXPLAINS WHAT TO DO. COVER CALIPER SPRAY IT WITH INCLUDED SPAY TO KNOCK LOOSE DUST DIRT CLEAR COAT ETC. SAND DOWN. WIPE OFF THEN PAINT. THATS IT IN A NUT SHELL. SO IM NOT GOING TO REPEAT THIS 4 TIMES. TAKE YOUR TIME WHEN PAINTING PERIOD THIS WILL TAKE SOME TIME AND YOUR CAR HAS TO SIT FOR A FULL 24 HOURS BEFORE IT IS MOVED SO REMEMBER TO DO THIS ON A WEEKEND WHEN YOU DONT PLAN TO LEAVE
AFTER FIRST COAT SECOND COAT. REMEMBER PUT TWO COATS ON EACH CALIPER. DONT WORRY YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF PAINT TO DO LIKE 20 CARS LOL. WAIT 15 MINUTES BETWEEN COATS
WITH RIM BACK ON CAR LOOK AT THAT. FREAKING NICE AS HELL
NOW YOU CAN REALLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE FRONT CALIPER IS UNTOUCH YOU SEE HOW ITS FADED AND OLD PEELING ETC. BACK CALIPER IS WHAT I JUST PAINTED.
FRONT CALIPER UNSANDED WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE UNTOUCHED BY ME
NOW SANDED DOWN
FIRST COAT LOOK AT DIFFERENCE
SECOND COAT
RIM BACK ON
NOW LOOK AT THEM WITH BOTH CALIPERS PAINT TRUELY AWESOME. YOU CAN SEE A HUGE DIFFERENCE SCROLL UP AND LOOK A BEFORE AND NOW
NOW REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO WAIT 24 HOURS SO THESE ARE PICS OF THE OTHER SIDE. IM IN THE SHOP NOW I AM PUTTING IN SOME RADIATOR HOSES AND FLUSHING MY SYSTEM MORE ON THAT LATER
NOW THE OTHER SIDE
LOOK A THIS THING
THERE ARE COMPLETELY PEELING AND WORE OUT UGLY LOOKING
BACK SANDED DOWN
FRONT SANDED
FIRST COAT
AND I AM DONE CHECK IT OUT
THINGS TO REMEMBER FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND YOU CANT REALLY MESS UP. MAKE SURE YOU COVER IMPORANT PARTS WITH TAPE. CLEAR COAT IS ALREADY IN THE PAINT ALL IN ONE. ENJOY ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK.
