MrCSM's 1969 Pontiac LemansOh how frickin sad!!!!! I cracked my high school ride up drinking and driving on my 21st bday. HELLUVA HIGH SPEED CHASE!!! Lucky no one was hurt but my ride. Ah live and learn. Needless to say I felt so ashamed about that happening I refused to let it go and 1 week after my 21st birthday I towed it to my grampas farm and here is how it sits 13 years later. I have had many offers but refuse to sell it before I drive it one more time. I wanted to fix her all up as a grown up adult and feel proud that I learned from my mistakes and still have the car I took my date to the prom in.
This was the first car I ever bought. $950.00 in 1990. My how the times have changed!
The motor is a rebuilt 400 bored 30 over with a 74 Trans Am intake, A holley 750 DP, HEI, Accel Supercoil, and some other goodies. It had less then 300 miles on the rebuild when I pushed her to the limit. (130 MPH through a red light intersection with on coming traffic, drunk is not as cool as one might think!)
Floated the valve train, smashed the fenders, hosed the front suspension and maybe tweaked the frame, (don't know yet).
The tranny has only about 400 miles on a rebuild with a shift kit. TH400.
SOOOOOO....drive train is salvageable. Body?????? I have a new bumber, grill, trim, dash, rear deck lid and hoards of other parts.
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A FRONT CLIP OR REAR QUARTERS, Somewhat reasonable?????

Anyway cleaned it of last time I was there and have prepared first steps to unearth and rebuild!!!!!!
More to come.

dude. i feel your pain. been there, done that, bought the soundtrack!!!!!!! sometimes those parts are nearly impossible to find. here is my experience. for my camaro i could not for the life of me find a GOOD front nose piece. so you know what i did. i went onto ebay and found some guy selling an old parts car, and i talked him into just selling me the nose piece. what i also did, for my fenders and stuff, is i bought an old parts camaro for $300, got the parts i needed, then i was able to sell other parts that i didn't need for more money than i bought the parts car for!!! another thing i did was go to these websites. WWW.ROCKAUTO.COM------WWW.GOODMARKINDUSTRIES.COM------WWW.YEARONE.COM----- WWW.JEGS.COM-----WWW.SUMMITRACING.COM------------------- hope those are helpful. o and keep your eye out for radio contests, oh, and pray..... thats what i did and it worked pretty well. 5 stars. check out my camaro, it could be helpful.

thats gonna be wicked man. you might want to try a salvage yard for the parts you need. might not be top grade, but enough to take it for a spin without losing an axle or somethin. cant wait to see it come back to life!
