TWEETER INSTALLATION
AND OTHER PICS
Dynaudio MD100 tweeter mounted in the factory pod. Just took a little trimming with the utility knife and they mounted right up and look stock.
Tweeter wired in by clipping the factory plug and splicing pig-tails using twist connectors, which then were secured with electrical tape to eliminate any chance of rattles.
Stinger 8 guage power wire, run down passenger side, opposite of all signal cables and speaker wires to reduce noise possibility.
Boston Pro 6.5" woofer vs. Dynaudio 8" woofer. I think the Dynaudio's will just barely fit behind the door panels....
Rough-cut rings for the Dynaudio "experiment". These I'll router to perfection (I'm obsessive/compulsive)
Routered rings...
Back side of factory panel/grill. The speaker grill is concave, which reduces speaker clearance necessary for mounting the big Dynaudio woofers.
I cut the factory grills out with a utility knife and replaced with MB Quart grills I had laying around. I'll replace the logo with Dynaudio when I get a chance to fabricate some up...
