mnkeboi2's 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet This is what my Gretchen looked like when I bought her several years ago. I still have a lot of work ahead but she is slowly lookin good.
mnkeboi2's 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet This is after the parking lights and the side moulding were removed and the side repeaters added. Now she is primer gray and I'm saving up for a good paint job - no Maaco for this bitch.
mnkeboi2's 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet Here is the engine. I built the battery cover out of abs and painted it just to clean up the appearance.
mnkeboi2's 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet I made my own logo for the cover.

Hey, I am also taking off the side trim. I just dont like how it looks but I will have the same problem. I would not want some cheap paint job. If I do the work how long do you think I'll have until rust starts to show? with out the paint job.
