This is my 1976 El Camino SS. I bought her April of this year.

The original motor (400ci) threw a rod and was replaced with a rebuilt 350ci. Due to the fact that I live in California I still have to pass smog (I know, it sucks), so all emissions controls are installed on the engine.

The engine runs good but looks bad. It has a Rochester Quadrajet carb, that is running rich at the moment. I suspect the carb may be from a bigger engine, and if that's the case I will most likely have to replaced the rods and jets to the correct size.

The interior is in decent condition. It's got stock look to it. No reupholstering has been done, well not in the last 15 years. Since this picture I've rewired/replaced all the audio equipment. Currently it has MB Quart tweaters, 6" door speakers, and a couple 10" subs facing rear behind the seats. It's not much but it's all wired up the right way to include crossovers and what not, so it sounds pretty clean.

The rims are 20' and could use a set of tires soon. The paint is not a flawless as it seems in these pics, but it's good enough for now.

My future plans are to try to improve fuel efficiency. Right now this car is a gas hog. I believe the carb could use some tuning and I'm throwing a new set of plugs in this weekend along with some Taylor 'Full Metal Jacket' wires, and a K&N air filter.
I will also be replacing all the bushings due to the fact they are rubber, old, and cracking.
Way down the road someday when my budget catches up to my imagination, I would like to drop a clean crate motor in, rhino line the bed, and repaint (probably black again).
