AUTOFOAMING
A concept I knew from my knowledge of hi-fi; when I first bought a pair of hi-fi speaker stands, I was required to put sand into the hollow stands as it had the qualities to absorb vibration. That concept is now applied in car customization. A shaving cream like foam is used and hardens in a few minutes due of a chemical process. I chose the sports package and forgo the comfort package for lack of fund (not cheap, this mod). Four mechanics worked on my car and that package alone took 3 1/2 hours non-stop where I saw the four door sills including the A and B pillars "autofoamed". The comfort package concentrates on the chassis and would take another two hours since the front seats need to be removed. It takes 24 hours for the autofoam to dry but the effect was already felt the moment the car reversed out of the shop. The car felt structurally solid, I can only image how it would have felt if I took the comfort package too. I don't feel autofoaming can tremendously improve road handling like what a set of adjustable coilovers can. What it does well is absorb all the nitty gritty shakes and wobble but as a package strenghens the car's structure.
