CUSTOM SPRAY AND STICKER
5 years after owning the car, she gets a stripe just to be different. Arts is a subjective matter but I keep on getting more compliments than criticism for this custom spray job. Before I came up with this scheme I thought myself as the car designer himself and tried to study how he came about with the lines, how he intentionally made creases over the plain metal sheet with the intention of making it structurally more sturdy then how he cleverly blended this into an art form almost like that of an origami. With the intention of keeping the hood black, I needed a lighter colour to bring out the constrast. I felt if there was to be constrasting sections, I would have expected the designer to prefer the sections that had been "creased out" Silver was chosen because it closely represents the colour of metal and something more at "home" for the car. I was about to leave the car in two tones but something was not right. Just like a picture no matter how artistically drawn or photographed, it still needs a frame to complete it. To that, the silver sprayed area needed a frame so I chose red as it goes well with black. I honestly didn't expect so many compliments on the bonnet paint job as in the guestbook and must say a very big thank you for all who did as well as another big thank you for those whom will too in anticipation of , I guess we are miles apart but we seem to have the same artistic eye. Cool!
