My car is a 1985 Toyota Celica GT. This was the last year for the RWD Celica. Whilein the past it was my very dependable daily driver, I'm now in the process of stripping it down to build it into a open road racer for the SILVER STATE CLASSIC CHALLENGE among other open road races. for this i'm removing all accesories and interior, fuel injection, etc and building it back up as a simplistic racing platform.
For those of you looking for help with these cars celica-gts.com has been a big help to me. Its a forum of 3rd generation (82-85) celica enthusiasts. They can help with almost any modification or repair you could think of. there's always someone there that's done it before or something similar.

As it progresses I'll be trying to update my profile here, but you can follow everything closer on my Build Thread
BTW the wing is from an early toyota MR2
The engine is still currently a mostly stock 22rec. It's a fresh longblock. Has had all emissions except EGR, and Cat removed and the power steering and A/c removed aswell. But soon it will have dual sidedraft webers in place of EFI and upgraded internals.
As far as The suspension goes, it's in progress. Most of it is stock currently but I've just installed polygraphite bushings (not urethane), Front and rear. Next I'll be ordering the custom wound springs (to keep things in stock locations with less unneeded adjustable mods like with coilovers) And performance gas shocks.
My plan for wheels is to have a set of custom steel "D window" racing wheels.
The interior is shot and is about to be scrapped so I wont bother with pictures. when the new metal dash cage and what not
Thats all for now. More added soon!
