Just picked up my brand new 1-series from Erhard BMW in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The series-exclusive cashmere silver looks stunning, as well as even the moonlight black (option) soft top. Drives like a dream. The car's pretty much stock, and I intend to keep it that way for all intensive purposes. In addition to the sports package, winter package, premium package, Sirius and iPod integration, I decided to go with the more impressive rotating xenon headlights and Hi-Fi Logic7 sound system. This audio option includes 13 upgraded speakers, of which two are subwoofers located under the driver's and passenger's seats) and Digital Sound Processing (DSP). I added the chrome kidney grilles (available only for the 135i) just because I thought they looked much nicer than the glossy black kidneys that come standard on the 128i. For winter, I've swapped the more than adequate Goodyears for Pirelli Sottozero winter performance tires. It cost me an arm and a leg, but the car is so enjoyable -dare I say- it was 100% worth every pretty penny.
