I found the vega in my X-girlfriends back yard siting next to a 1964 falcon. It was her grandmas and she was asking $700 for it. we ofered 500, but she wouldnt budge. so we got it anyway. The car was originaly a michigan car (hense all the rust spots). the guy who owned it droped a 350 small block in it and hotroded it for a few years. He drove it down to florida with plans of quarter mileing it. He started the transmofmation by adding 400 heads to the small block but couldnt keep it cool(the water ports wont line up with 400 heads on a 350). He spent 2 grand on a custom radiator whitch ofcourse still couldnt keep it cool. The motor in his truck blew and he ended up swaping the motor out of the vega and into the truck, and there it sat in my X's back yard for 5 years, untill i came around and freaked out when i saw it. i ran over to it and instantly fell in love with the little hotrod. I knew i needed a car that ran since ill be driveing in a year or two but i couldnt let the chance of getting this car up, i had to have it. ill probly end up driveing my dads 86' blazer for a few years until we are done restro roding the vega but who cares, i have a 71' vega, and it dont get much cooler than that. I realy love the looks and styleing of the 02' camaros and have even thought about getting rid of the vega for one. but i dont think i could let the little thing go, it to rare, its to cool, and its to different.I kinda have a soft spot for red Audi R8's too, but like that will ever happen haha but i can dream. i always look to have something that no one else has, or has ever seen. give me some comments on it, later.
